COMPUTER COOLING COMPANY FILES BANKRUPTCY

Computer cooling company files bankruptcy. Computers can run hot. Devices are made that help computers cool down. A maker of cooling devices for PC’S had to turn to a bankruptcy lawyer for counsel. There was not a problem with the devices. The bankruptcy filing was needed due to fraud.  Zalman is a South Korean company. The company has been a trailblazer in keeping computer components cool. They have also kept computer noise low. Those days are over. The company has filed bankruptcy. The reason the company had to file bankruptcy? The parent company of Zalman is Moneual. The parent company’s CEO  and vice presidents are accused of cooking the books. Sales figures were inflated to secure bank loans of 2.8 billion dollars.  This practice has come to light. This caused Zalman’s stock shares to be suspended. It also forced the bankruptcy case filing. It seems highly unlikely the company will be able to survive the bankruptcy filing. The road ahead will not be easy. Lawsuits and prosecutions are expected. The company is optimistic that something can be saved. The experienced bankruptcy attorneys will be key to salvaging what they can. The company’s innovations are still worth quite a lot. They hold a number of patents. The patents relate to what the company is known for. Computer cooling and fan noise reduction technology. What good are patents to a bankrupt company? They can be sold. Probably for large sums of money. A patent sale will probably draw the interest of the company’s competitors. Companies in the same field include Cooler Master and Thermaltake.  Through no fault of Zalman, their future is in doubt. It is shame not only for the company. Employees will lose their jobs. Their families will suffer. All because of fraud allegations at the parent company. The only hope now lies with the bankruptcy lawyers. The bankruptcy could salvage what is left. The creations of Zalman could continue to benefit computer users for years to come.
